Are you planning to use the town buses to look around the island?

If so we strongly recommend you to travel light to/in Naoshima by utilizing lockers/luggage storage services in bigger cities like Okayama/Takamatsu, or sending your big bags to your next destination first.

The reason is that the town buses are all quite small and there are literally no rooms for suitcases and big travel bags.

You would most likely have troubles just getting on/off the bus.

Moreover, they are one of the main means of transportation for the local residents, so we should avoid the situation where those in need can’t use the buses.

Therefore, if you are going to use the town bus, please do consider leaving your big luggage outside Naoshima.

If you use a car, you can park it at a municipal free parking lot right next to Tsutsujiso.

Parking near/in front of our main gate is prohibited as it will hinder the town buses and shuttles from parking at their stops.
