It takes appx. 60minutes by ferry, appx. 30 minutes by high-speed boat from Takamatsu port (Takamatsu-city, Kagawa prefecture).

It takes appx.15～20minutes. from Uno port (Tamano-city, Okayama prefecture) .

After you get off a ferry at the Miyanoura/Naoshima port, take a town bus  (100 yen/adult, 50 yen/child).

If your boat/ferry arrives at the Miyanoura port, you will see a distinguishing glass building (the ferry ticket station) once you get off. You will see 3 bus stops to its right - take the one coming to the middle (②). Its last stop is us, Tsutsujiso. It will take roughly 15 minutes to get to us.

If your boat arrives at the Naoshima port, again you will look for a bus stop (you will just walk along the sea a bit and it's to your right). Note that the buses to coming to Tsutsujiso will stop at the other side of the stop, so make sure you are on the right side. It will take about 5 minutes.

Please get off at the last stop "Tsutsujiso" (100 yen/adult, 50 yen/child).

You will soon find a front gate of Tsutsujiso just behind the last bus stop. Please go through the gate and pass by a cafe, then you will arrive at the reception. 

Please note that the bus is quite small (max. capacity of 28 people) and there are literally no rooms for suitcases and big travel bags.

Moreover, they are one of the main means of transportation for the local residents, so we should avoid the situation where those in need can’t use the buses.

We strongly recommend you to travel light to/in Naoshima by utilizing lockers/luggage storage services in bigger cities like Okayama/Takamatsu, or sending your big bags to your next destination first.

It takes about 25 minutes from Miyanoura port by bicycle.

From Miyanoura port, please go straight along a road passing by a convenience store (7-eleven) and a elementary school on your right side. Please turn right at the traffic light with a signboard "Benesse House". Please turn right at the corner of a post office after passing by a petrol station on your right. You will go up a steep slope with "Minami-dera" (Art House Project) on your left and a car park on your right. Please turn right at the end on the top of the slope, and follow the road until you find us on your left side. 

*Most bicycle rental shops are located in the Miyanoura area and some are in the Honmura area. Please refer to this page for the details.

It takes about 10 minutes from Miyanoura port by car.

A free car park is available just in front of Tsutsujiso (No reservation required.)

*Only few taxis operate in Naoshima, so please contact the above numbers in advance.

*Please be noted that there are many steep roads, so there may be a big difference in the time required.

• Miyanoura Port→Tsutsujiso：approx. 60 minutes
• Honmura Port (Naoshima Port)→Tsutsujiso：approx. 25 minutes
• Tsutsujiso → Benesse House Museum：approx. 15 minutes
• Benesse House Museum→ Lee Ufan Museum ：approx. 10 minutes
• Lee Ufan Museum→Chichu Museum：approx. 10 
• Miyanoura Port→Honmura Port (Naoshima Port)：approx. 30 minutes
